Removing linked files InDesign
xeno (10 pencils) | Wed, 2009-08-12 09:37Bonjour!
I'm having an issue with InDesign.
I'm working on a document that has been supplied to me with some PDF's linked in (how ever I don't have the PDF's themselves) - I've redone the page on the master to display whatever it was that the PDF was supposed to be showing - so I don't actually need them anymore.
When i select go to link to try and hunt down and remove the pdf's, it takes me to the relevant page, but there is no content box there, so I can't delete them - they aren't on the master either.
I was hoping i could just right click and remove the link from the links tab - but alas no.
Any ideas?

If you right-click the file in the Links menu, and select "Go to Link", it should bring you to wherever the file actually is hiding. If that doesn't work, click "Link Information" and see if it's somewhere that you haven't looked yet. Occasionally, if a file is Packaged, the linked file may be saved somewhere that you didn't want it to be saved.
