Quick Q. Why butterfly with an e?
I like A. but that's because it looks rather sinister... so it probably doesn't align with being a social butterfly.
I think you should explore B. with modified typeface... the swirly motif has a lightness about it that the typeface does not. Give the whole thing a floaty, flighty, butterfly, feely.

You gotta try harder. Don't just make a butterfly + name. It might work but I'd say, try to try something differently then the obvious.

I think don't use a butterfly with this name. Think further.
Using the large butterfly is too obvious. If I had too pick from those 4 I would say "B" is headed in the right direction. I kinda like the font for Butterflye, just needs some tweaking. Try experimenting more with the fancy lines. Maybe they can represent the connections between social sites? And or maybe the B can be tweaked to look a little like a butterfly - but don't make it too obvious - it should be discovered.
I would say explore a more simplified version of the butterfly. Right now it looks to stylized for a social media site. Take a look at whats out there now and try to apply that to your design. As for type, I would also explore that a little more. Good for a first draft.
Less butterfly, but more butterfly.
Wouldn't that 'S' & 'B' make perfect candidates for typographic treatment of butterfly wings?
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
Geez, indeed!

Thanks for the comments. In response to a few:
-It's spelled that way to match their domain, which was available.
-It itself is not a social media site...it will create facebook/twitter/etc pages, manage social media campaigns and so forth.
-Logo B is also the one I've been leaning towards myself.
Although I would agree playing around with non-literal interpretations, in this case I think it's almost needed. For example it is a term used for people who are popular or very social with many friends. A butterfly flies from place to place, flower to flower taking part in cross-pollination -> metaphor for using multiple social networking sites sharing information.
There's another version that is not on here, but will include in next round, that actually uses bits of the 'pollination' that would match some of the other social sites colors down the line.
I'll re-work and re-post...comments/advice welcomed.

these fonts are TWODF (The Worst Of Da Font)
yes I'm brazilian xD
yeah, the type choice is pretty bad. they reek of free/knockoffs
And now, for totally off the edge...a chrysalis with a tiny black gloved arm sticking out with an invite with the words SOCIAL BUTTERFLYE on it...
Need another beer...

The first idea that comes to my mind, as far as not using a literal butterfly goes, is a butterfly-shaped masquerade mask. Plenty of good references on Google.
This looks more like a store that sells butterflies rather than a social media / brand monitoring group

If your gonna use butterfly's in the logo why not use a whole bunch of them to support the theme of being social.
'i hate all' as qwerty once said.
this is tosh.
the spelling really annoys me... 'just because the domain was available'????
boring, obvious & poor solutions.
you can do better than this.

"you can do better than this."
its not the OP's responsibility.
they can only work within the confines they are given...
i know i sometimes go too far myself. but are we a marketing/branding forum or a design forum?
marketing and design go hand in hand, one without the other is useless.

I agree, the logo helps to sell you. And that business about it being the only name available...well...no comment.

Why are you reading this? Cao's advice should have been the last word.
I don't think the spelling is an issue. The service - not the name or even the logo - will determine the fate of the site. My problem is the butterfly is too solitary to convey anything social. Definitely explore other ideas, like the one you mentioned regarding pollination. Is the target audience women? The butterfly conveys femininity, especially with the swirly flourish.

I also like A. But I agree, the typeface should be something lighter and prettier...
