saving psd layers with layer names

i can't figure out how to save layers from a psd with their layer names

i want to save each of the layers (from one psd) as a png, and each with the layer name they currently have

if i could do this once and then batch it that would be great....
could someone PLEASE help me out here...

Have you tried using the ImageReady CS2 feature...
File > Export > Layers as Files

It will do what you request. Just click the bottom link on the Photoshop tool palette or [Shift+Command+M] to edit your file in ImageReady.

i was killing myself trying to figure out a way to batch this or find a script that worked in photoshop, all failed

... there's a script that allows you to get each ps-layer exported as a cropped, separate .png. I can't remember if the layers was named as ther are inside PS though.

this tip only works for low-resolution images.
