Scanner recommendation?

I'm looking for a good (ie: decent but not expensive)flatbead scanner with an ADF that can adequately handle glossy magazine sheets. Anyone have any positive (or negative) experience? I have an HP Scanjet 5590 which keeps jamming and mis-scanning even when it doesn't jam. It handles standard paper ok, but has issues with the glossy magazines. Much appreciated!

Thanx,
Tony

And it was under $150. I suggest going to a retailer and telling them what your using it for, so they know it's for graphics purposes.

- thanks

What's jamming? Are you trying to feed magazine pages into the scanner directly?

On occasion the pages just don't feed and the scanner stops communicating with the computer.
However when they do feed, they still scan as if only half the page feeds. Thanx.

You haven't exactly answered the question. What do you mean by "feed"?

Thought I mentioned that it has an
ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) in my first post. That's where it jams.
