Security Update = Safari Issues
Charlie D (384 pencils) | Tue, 2004-11-02 17:15Ever since the most recent security update, my Safari has been acting funny. Sometimes pages don't load the first time around causing me to refresh and then it works. I read about this issue on MacFixIt.com and apparently I'm not the only one experiencing this. I'm on a G5 anyone else having this issue?

i'm having those issues with Firefox every since I downloaded the PR. Safari works fine on my both machines. can you not trash the prefs of Safari?
the problem is well documented on MacFixIt.com, unfortunately, there is no solution. On top of that, the Security Update didn't (or wasn't supposed to) touch Safari to begin with, so trying to figure out why Safari is messed up is proving to be a real PITA.

There's been discussion on other websites that I visit regarding this issue and it doesn't appear to be a "Mac-only" problem. It is happening to Windows users as well. And from the comments I've read, it's been deemed by some to be a DNS problem. Whether this is exactly true or not, I'm not sure.

I suppose you're referring to Firefox, not Safari right?
