Self Logo 3

k hopefully last time. I didn't trace the letter Penny. But after changing the colours, I don't think you need to with the new look. I changed it to LCB because my full name was to long. I got rid of the hair and mouth. Please tell me what you think.

Liked your first rendition best of all.

I would keep it the simple black lines of the first with the good comments regarding the size adjustments between the marks and your name; and for you to hand draw the 3 letters.

I did not see the ear at all in the marks until pointed out by you. I might suggest taking your 'C' and making it your smile.

Overall, I think it's quirky and different.
Nice work.

Looks like a preschool. Not a graphic designer.

I like your first one, full words, no face/cartoon.

Original version was a class act. Just do the recommended tweaks and you've got gold. Don't freak out on us.

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.

Cat. Pigeons.
I like this, except i'd execute the 'graphic design' differently in position and typeface. There is a dynamic tension between the hand-drawn letters and the rigidity of the LCB that is compelling.

I would go back to full name. Initials dont work, unless your a substantial business (even then they dont in my opinion). I too prefered the black and white version. It had a simple message that you were creative. now with the colours etc. it loses that appeal. it feels forced. Adjustments with kerning and line spacing also need addressing. Concept is a winner though.

this is going downhill FAST! your original execution was way, WAY better

Yeah, this is going from good to worse fast. Keep the original layout, all you need to do is write the letters in the exact same layout. Also, when hand tracing the letters, add a textured brush to really make it look hand made, not just traced on a computer.

Quite frankly - not feeling it. Nothing about this one (or any of the others) appeals to me. It might just be me, but if I were hiring - this would not catch my eye.

I would like to see the C used as the face on the left side (instead of using it for the ear - as I stated before), with the L going the correct way for the nose and the B for the shades - but just out of curiosity. I doubt it's going to change my mind.

Sorry - as always... jmho.

i still say we need some background explanation as to what kind of work you do. this approach could be dead-on or completely wrong...

I do anything from designing letter heads to buiss. cards. I also do Buiss. Identity. Since I am new on t he market I really do what ever I get. When I am a weathered designer I will do specifics. So I made this to be both colour and black and white. I will take the original and, with a textured brush, "trace" it. I will hopefully get back tomorrow or the next day. Thank you for the comments.

That 'C' is also an issue. A different font is a must as well.

Completely off topic guys, but the have you seen the updated liberated chef website...interesting.

This is NOT the work of a graphic designer ! .... it's rubbish ~ period !

Just because you can muck about in powerpoint and m$ paint a bit = does not make you a designer ! ... folks like you give the rest of us in the industry a bad name and de-value our work !

Well, in his defense, he is a beginner and is showing a willingness to learn and improve. Sure, this isn't the best I've ever seen but the core concept is good. Also, you come off as a little bit of a douche.

Ha powerpoint and ms paint. I used illustrator. I am learning and do make mistakes. You can't claim that you have never made a mistake. If you did, I wouldn't believe you were a designer.
