Selling prints online

Hi there,

I'm in the UK and I've got a client who sells DVDs but is also looking into selling photographic prints online in the same shop. The catalogue looks big, so I thought that perhaps I could have our shop order prints directly from a printer.

Has anyone done this? What's the easiest way to integrate this into his current site?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Chris

There are dozens upon dozens of free pre-fab 'shopping cart' applications online you can plug into an existing web-server/database combination. They include features that allow the user to do searches and even pay via credit card or paypal. The only difficult part perhaps is entering the content.

Usually a web developer will pull down a shopping cart app and modify it to their own needs. Easiest way is probably paying 10K USD or more for a development company to set you up. Hard way, of course, is to 'roll-your-own'. ;-)

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.

We're great at web development, but we're just looking for a company who can print the photographs and send them directly to our clients.

We've already got a great ecommerce solution for the rest of the shop.

We need an online printer who I can send photos directly from our site to print and send to our clients. I know there are a few.

We're not just looking for a standard online printer. We're in search of an AUTOMATED, integrated, photographic print supplier.

Anyone?
