Shift Media Cards
shiftmedia (28 pencils) | Wed, 2006-09-20 08:25Takin the step towards business cards, logo and new look for myself. Website is on its way with the same feel. Came up with a burnt orange/grey theme. Not sold on the logo get but it's growing on me the more i look at it. I am finding most peoples first impression of it is not what i hoped, but if they don't see it right away the see it eventually.
Keeping everything simple, that way I don't dislike something about the card 3 days after they're printed :). Let me know what you think, only going to print one of the two.

Hey Jeff,
Sorry but I'm not loving it, feels too similar to this site in color story and the logo reminds me a bit of creative_NRG (member)
I get that it's a stick shift but it just bugs me that last line not lining up.
If I had to choose I'd go with the right, I like the back print.
The design is definately clean and simple, I'm just wondering if you tried the shift idea in other ways? maybe a side view?
I like the simple and clean look to the layout and orange and gray are currently the 'new cool'. [All good there] The one confusing aspect I have with the logo is that it looks more like "HK" than the positions of a stick shift. It also looks a bit like a crawling spider.
Change your name to 'Heff Karper' and your golden. ;)
Also, not having a mailing address on the cards is a little bizarre.
Overly, I like the new look.
I usually dont put a mailing address on my cards due to the fact i may move and then the cards to usless to me. Had this happen before and found it to be a waste.
As for the logo i can see what you mean with the 'HK' and the spider.... i tried with numbers to point out the obvious but found the logo to look crowded....

You're really close but there's somewhat of a 'disconnect' in the current logo to the company name that's hard to bridge in my opinion.
Play around with a subtle connection and I think you've got it. Here are some quick thoughts that might help you 'shift gears'.
Thank you for all the feedback/help. I see what you meand where your goin with this. I'll have another look at it and see what i can come up with. Cheers
