Sign in to two gmail accounts within one browser

Is this possible? Currently I'm signing in into one account with Firefox and another one with Safari. But I wish to have both in Firefox, but it seems it is not possible. As soon as I sign in to the second account the first logs me out.
Why not just have everything
Why not just have everything forward to one? I've pretty much switched over all of my gmail accounts to one account. For that very reason, signing in and out was a pain in the ass.
It's nice though, something like Google Analytics allows you to be an administrator of a few different accounts through the one log in, and obviously with the calendar you can do the same.
Is there any reason you don't want to be forwarding one gmail to another?
Personally I use thunderbird to access my accounts. But pretty much everything forwards to gmail and I download from just the one place (with one exception) when I reply I reply through the actual mail pop instead of gmail (it tends to appear in reply's that gmail sent the mail rather than my work account) but I just bcc all mails sent to my gmail account which filters those messages automatically for me.
It's a slightly strange system but it has brought me from having 10+ email accounts to effectively having 2.. which is much less confusing for me.

Simply because I have too
Simply because I have too much mail. 2.5GB is not enough. This is why I had to resort to two accounts. I'm trying to delete everything not necessary, but still...
Ah right
That hadn't occurred to me at all. Even with 10 mail accounts going into it I'm still only at 16% (453mb) of my 2778mb. Ok.
Have you looked into greasemonkey scripts?
I know there is one out there that ports google reader into gmail, maybe there's one that ports multiple accounts together??
Otherwise I would just say why not use thunderbird and when you're out and about all your email will still be accessible online?

I have the same problem, Ivan
I have an iMac G4 and use Safari and Firefox. I switched to Gmail because I couldn't access my Yahoo! address book in Firefox. However, my Yahoo! email address is on 500 business cards, so I used the same prefix and just added @gmail.com. I want another Gmail address using my personal name, i.e. , so people would know it's me. Apparently the only way I can do that is to open a new Gmail account.
You can use the + sign to filter emails in Gmail, though: i.e. if your email address is , you can also use itsme+tag@gmail.com, and these will be delivered to your main inbox. So could use joe.blow+lettersfromMom@gmail.com, joe.blow+blog@gmail.com, etc.
In Safari you can open Yahoo! and Gmail in tabs, which makes it easy to go back and forth. Doesn't work in Firefox, unfortunately.
Back up my hard drive? How do I get my computer into reverse?
