Sleep, baby, sleep!

Just thought others might be interested in my pbook problems recently.

I would be working on my 17" pbook with no real problems and then all of a sudden it would put itself to sleep.
Waking it brings up the shutdown window.
Then it would continue putting itself to sleep anywhere between 10 seconds and 2 minutes.

Highly irritating!

Anyway ... after asking a few people and checking the apple forums I came to the conclusion that it could be a problem with the battery or the PRAM needs resetting, (something I haven't had to do since OS8!).

So I reset the PRAM* and then left the machine running for the whole day with the battery out.
No problems.
So far today i have been running with battery in and still no problems.

So, if you start to get the same problems that I did, try resetting the PRAM.

*Resetting the PRAM on PowerBook G4 (15-inch 1.67/1.5GHz), PowerBook G4 (17-inch 1.67GHz)
