Software Updater Annoyance
Joshua (222 points) | Wed, 2004-10-06 16:06Just a little thing that irks me, but everytime software updater comes up it wants me to install iPod updaters. I don't have an iPod (yet), so I don't want to download this, yet I can't seem to permanently remove it from the list of updates. Anybody know how?

It's quite simple, yet often overlooked. When the dialog box with the iPod update appears, click on the iPod Update in the list (or any other update you want to ignore) and go under the Update menu. The first item in the menu is Ignore Update. Just select that from the menu and it will hide the iPod Update from you. To get it back in the list should you need it in the future, you can go under the Software Update menu, and select Reset Ignored Updates.

Awesome, thanks.
No problem...
You know, a better solution would be to go out and buy an iPod!
