For a first-off draft, they're all pretty decent. However, a word of caution--I'd remove the top two from the initial client presentation, even though you did as requested--they are far too near the Arm & Hammer logo (you don't want Church & Dwight on you).

Selection-wise, I'm torn between the bottom right logo and the one second from the bottom on the left.

Contractor logos are usually a bit stronger, somewhere between lawyers and monster truck drivers...but seriously, these aren't quite strong enough to present but there's some good ideas. Why are you going all lower case?

Why the DC flag? Is this a DC contractor? And is it necessary to be so literal if you want to incorporate the client's attraction to the flag? Why not take its strongest elements, the red bars and red stars, and do something more creative with them than just substituting a hammers head and other icons for the stars? Looks kinda like a Masonic apron or something. (Euuw.)

my first question is what is it that makes them something different? that's where i'd look first to figure out what to use for the logomark. it could be the reason things are all lowercase. but really, with a name like that, i'd want to see if there was a way to emphasize what's actually different about them.

@3dogmama. I got the exact same answer in logopond. I just saw the arm & hummer logo, they are very similar, I will take them off.

@nota. I am working in other ideas. I'll post them soon, I don't wanna go with the regular construction feel, I'm playing with the name something different in these new logos.
