I came up with three different ideas for the logo. I was thiking of integrating, what they do (construction) and the name (something different) to try come up with something clever, and this is what I came up with. Please let me know your ideas

Looks like a head of a robot with wing-like ears ... ?
These are nice images but I'd have to say your first set of drafts has more potential than this set. Might need more brainstorming and maybe ask yourself what makes this company unique from their competition and build up your ideas and inspiration from what makes them really 'something different'. What look/feel the logo should have? You need something people to identify with, such as a reliable, recognizable brand. The most important thing is to keep it minimal and simple ... :)
looking at this set makes me think a slightly different direction.
you might consider a type-only solution for the logo itself, but have a number of different "icons" that can be used in conjunction with the type logo. all icons in the same style, but maybe representing multiple things that are "different" about the company itself. that way the logo can be used with or without iconography, but can also be flexible with the iconography. the key to a solution like that is the type logo has to be strong enough to stand alone, and while i like the type you have set up now, i don't think the word contractors is strong enough in this iteration to stand alone.
