Sop logo

This logo is for an online magazine in South America. The word Sop is the origin of the word soup in various languages and it means to eat with bread and soak it in a liquid, so it is the most basic way to eat. The O needs to work on its own for animations, etc.

BTW
I forgot to say that this is an online magazine about FOOD
Good start!
I'm liking this a lot. It's feels really elegant but still remains quite simple.
The "O" definitely needs work, though. The "S" and the "p" are both serif looking fonts, where the "o" doesn't appear to match. It looks like a mistake. If you look at the round part in the "P", you can see that the line changes thickness to give it that memorable serif look. Give the "o" a bit of that, and you're set. If you're wanting it to have consistent thickness so it can work on it's own in animations, etc - you might want to adjust the thickness down a little, because I think before you worry about it working on it's own, make the entire logo work first.
The other thing is that the way the negative space goes from the "P" into the "O" isn't quite fluid. It seems kind of straight / unnatural. A little tweaking will fix that.
Hope that helps. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks
I agree with you about the P and the negative space, I need to make it more fluid. On the other hand, I quite like the O to be a bit different than the serif letters, originally I had all of them sans-serif but it needed a more classic look. I do appreciate your comments!
I love it! But two
I love it! But two questions:
Why is the "o" in a different font than the "s" or "p"?
I'd make the space in the "o" a bit bigger. It's going to fill in when you reproduce the logo at smaller sizes.
Other than that this is a fantastic, simple, and flexible logo.

I would make the "o" more
I would make the "o" more calligraphy-like. Like, make it slightly thinner. Just give it some dimension.
It's not bad, just missing something.
I like it a lot. The o seems
I like it a lot. The o seems too bold for the other two letters. Perhaps you can make the s a bit bolder?
