Yes, and MS dumped it, not the other way around or something. What it really means is the market share of OSX isn't worth it to them....meaning in a way OSX is losing.
how could os x be losing out of this? I mean, seriously... IE is a really crap browser for mac....... thank f**** that its no longer supported by ms, Apple had the right idea by not shipping it with new macs ages ago!
well, as much as I hate IE, I have to admit that OS X is kinda losing a LITTLE. IE IS still the most-used browser and alot of people don't like learning something new...some people out there actually like to use software that has been established for a while. Also, I have gone to about 10 major websites that require IE...IE DOES allow web designers to add features to their websites that don't work in other browsers...I guess that is why IE is so SLOW....but yeah, no big loss...anybody who uses a Mac and Firefox for a while will never miss IE..
I used IE today for a few seconds because every once in a while I am forced too...and just using it for a minute I was thinking who uses this SLOW browser...and yes, I have a high-speed connection. But maybe we could direct this to a similar topic...anybody used Camino at all....it is brought to use by our good friends at Mozilla...and it is built native to OS X. Pretty cool program....looks alot like Firefox as you would expect, but a little prettier...the only thing I have against it is that the search fuction is a window that sits on top of your browser window instead of built into the bottom bar of the browser like Firefox. If they hadn't done that I would be using it right now...it is built on the same engine as Firefox...
First of all, IE is an app....do you see any of us creating websites dedicated to spreading Safari or spreading Firefox (or even Camino)? heck no. Second, IE is crappy, bulky, inefficient software written by an arrogant, over-confident company. Third, I don't consider myself a mac junky...I love my Mac, but I have a PC at home too (gasp)..there are just some things that can't be done on a Mac. I like to think of myself as a well-rounded person who is always searching for the best products available...good software speaks for itself, only slipshod software needs a crutch (i.e. IE)
Creativebits is a blog about creativity, design and Macs. We also have a critique section where you can post your work to get opinions and a forum to discuss any design related topics.
Considering that IE has now been dumped for Macs they are losing their battle!
take it there > http://www.rickler.com

Is that so much worse than us being mac junkies?
