Steal Logos, get Millions

Logogarden has been infamous around the design scene for the last few months. They log onto sites like Brands of the World, download all the logos and put them up for sale, claiming they're original. They're so obvious and ignorant they even use world famous logos like the WWF Panda. If you search for LogoGarden, just about every result comes back "Watch out for this fraud company" or "They stole my art and are selling it for profit". Once the word got around about their fraud, I thought it was over for them.
Just today, a venture capital company announced they're giving Logogarden TWO MILLION DOLLARS in investment. That's nothing less than insanity.

This is terrible :(
Well now logogarden can't claim they're broke when the artists sue them for copyright infringement.
+1, kudos to the venture capital for donating to the original owners of the logo artists!
Revolting :(
Friends, it pays to go to the trouble of copyrighting your work -- or at least sending a CD of it to yourself by certified mail, leaving it sealed unless/until a judge opens it for you in a civil court.
I think this investment company got into trouble with the US government at some point. Is it legit?
