STT Security Concepts

Hey all-
Its been a while since I've posted anything new and am in need of a little help. The client is a company specializing in providing loss prevention and security services. They want to stick with their triangle theme and would like to incorporate the various words that set the ground roots for the company. I managed to give their current logo a modern twist, I'm just stuck on where to place the words, they just seem so awkward. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm also unsure about incorporating "security" into the logo, since they are so commonly known as just "STT"
Thanks!

I forgot to specify that their old logo is the one on the upper left...

I do not look at the new logo and think "modern", quite the opposite, I think "dated" and "amateur". Have you talked to your client about exchanging the words "victim" "opportunity" and "desire" ? For me they sound like tacky buzz words. I would instead include a tagline or at least words related to the provided services. I really am not liking the bevel and drop shadow going on with "STT", it just looks like a cheap fix to spicing up the words.
I would first start in black and white and play with the composition with the letters within the triangle area. Are they open to different color choices at all?
They want to stick with pretty much exactly what they currently have, and to make it "fresh", so maybe modern wasn't the best choice of words. They also want to stick with the colors of red, white, and blue. Thank you for you thoughts...

you need to understand the process of creating a logo. work with the form itself instead of colors and effects. get the form right first, THEN add in colors. this is why people are telling you to work in black and white first.
and "fresh" isn't an accurate description, either. the style is very early 90s "photoshop effect."
You need to talk to your client and say NO WORDS!!! Desire??? How does that relate to Security???

This could easily be a logo for victimizers instead of people in the business of deterring victimizers. Good luck!
Thanks, I will give it a shot.

I don't like any of them. Try to simplify and find an idea if possible.
i'm with ivan. they're all pretty generic, at best. and all versions of the "key words" you have are illegible.
do what aroberts said. start with just one color: black (and white negative space). come up with something that works as a form and get that done nicely, THEN add your colors and (if absolutely necessary, your special effects).
btw, bevels and drop shadows on type is *NOT* modern, it's cliche and comes across poorly, especially to designers. we all see the "photoshop effects" immediately. your logo should be able to work without doing any of that stuff.
And those buzz words man, they need to be changed. I find what they originally had was a step ahead.

We artists are indestructible, even in a prison cell or concentration camp I would be almighty in my own world of art. Even if I had to paint my pictures with my wet tongue on the dusty floor of my cell. - Pablo Picasso
It is a difficult one, you have to use the triangle, colors and words.
What about rounding the edges of the triangle? For sure drop the shadows, bevels and effects.
Try different fonts - don't think "modern" think "security", just having a new font will update the look. bold? serif? squared? solid.
try dropping the boarder, keep it clean, dark blue triange with white type.
I would also spell out the name of the company as part of the logo. then add the words under it all
more power to ya!
