I like the subtle changes in the color of the blue around the edges. Or is that just optical illusion? What font is that?
Font - Zapfino
Effect - 2 layers, top one with a blur and set to soft light or overlay ?
just a guess, but its a great effect.

I'm not sure what to think. Normally I really don't like scaling fonts like you just did, but somehow I don't really dislike it :-)
maybe you should take another look at the spacing/kerning of the 'su'-pairs.
did you try to experiment with the available glyphs? this is a very complete font (Zapfino) which gives you a lot of room to play!
d'oh, delete this comment. Fabio already spoke about the kerning. That will teach me to load this as my 20th tab in firefox.
I personally don't think it's a problem if someone repeats something that has been said. It just adds weight to it, which benefits the person asking for a crit. It highlights a critical issue.
Zapfino. I think you guys are right about the kerning, it looks nice but lacks precision somehow.
