A new Australian web design studio - just did it today and didn't want to develop in a vacuum. What do you think? Planning to put some water droplets on the writing, similar to the tutorial on this site with the droplets on the leaf. Actually came up with the concept playing around with that tutorial, so thank you very much Ivan.

I don't like the way the email is stuck in there. It needs to be styled in some way. Also, you may want to give a hint what services this company provides. Think about a simple background instead of just plain black maybe. It's so dark, I fear falling into it. :)
I'm not sure about the logo either, but I like the feeling of freshness and positiveness of it. I think the main problem is that if you use small caps you need to find a font that has true small caps. Now it's just upper case letters in small size. So, the first letters become too bold comparing to the rest.

Hate to be mr. negative but normally when designing a logo I at least try to make something that will stand a little bit out, and perhaps be al little unique. What I see here are just letters with inner glow and gradient overlay. Not really what you should be looking for in a logo. Not loving the typography either, seems to be some kind of font that shipped with your OS.
Perhaps you could play with the name of the studio a little bit and work that into some kind of a look (submarines and brightness).
When designing a logo you should really be using something else than layer effects and tutorials. Making a logo from a tutorial really means that someone else has done it before, and someone else is already using that tutorial. And then your logo will not really be unique, right?

Thanks guys - great feedback. It's really more of a 'for-show' kind of thing that I whipped up today while messing around (different to tutorial). Eventually plan to build a website, so it's not a permanent logo, but will define company image until one is up.
Might try an under the ocean background, still fairly dark, with bubbles coming up and a different font, maybe with a slight 'wave' in the text.
I guess the theme is Submarine Sunlight Studios Presents... like a movie opening or something, just to give a feeling of interest and enthusiasm, and to arouse curiosity.
