Subscription emails...
pokie (1198 pencils) | Tue, 2008-10-28 14:44I had never received an email from here until a couple of months ago and now I get them constantly.... I don't want them. I read through everything once I get around to coming on the website so I don't want the emails. It doesn't appear to be something in my preferences that is causing this. Is this automagic?

you may have clicked "subscribe" on a post or two accidentally. are the emails about specific posts?
It's about every post I ever comment on, I think. I never hit a subscribe button.
"User Accounts" and click the "Subscriptions" tab and then click "Settings" at the bottom. . . check and un-check the settings that apply. . . one of them I have unchecked is "Auto Subscribe" ;)

I just changed my settings, so hopefully it'll work.

It is annoying. That's why I sent it to my "not-so-serious" e-mail address, because my two e-mail addresses that I primarily use for graphic design, et al, I have my phone automatically check every 30 minutes, and it was getting to be a pain to sift through all of them from my phone. So now they're going to another e-mail address.
I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, that it's automatic that you're subscribed to each thread that you comment on. I believe you have to manually click unsubscribe, not the other way around.
If I'm wrong, please enlighten me. Thanks!
