T-Mobile Hotspot Troubles in NYC?

I have been using T-Mobile hotspot for well over a year now, and it's been working great. I always carry my laptop, like many freelance designers do, and work at different Starbucks locations through T-Mobile hotspots.

But recently I've been noticing and experiencing problems all across the city(New York City). Everywhere I go the T-Mobile hotspots are very unstable and I have to re-establish connection every 10 minutes or so.

What's truly interesting is the solution. When I call the T-Mobile Hotspot service number, (877)822-7768, the connection suddenly becomes stable and I am connected for hours rock solid. Maybe I'm being paranoid or conspiracy-theory fool, but it has been my experience(several times).

As I'm writing this posting, once again I was loosing connection every 10 minutes, so I called them up and complained, told them the store number and voila, the problem is gone since the phone call.

Anybody having similar experience or is it just me?

PS) I'm sure it's not my laptop. It works just fine with any other hotspot.
