Hi there,

I'm working on a design for a client who is a jewelry designer; After looking at many art nouveau fonts she has chosen Gradl, (top 2). I need to make it strong enough and precise enough to stand out in a very rich and detailed line drawing. (see loose sketch below) The kerning and proprtions really need to spot on. Any comments would be appreciated! thx!

Initiale First Approach

Initiale First Approach

The color scheme is not decided yet, so I work in grayscale now.

I'm working on the identity of Initiale Design ( http://www.initialedesign.com )
The company will have 3 domains of activity that work together as a whole:
Web development/coding, Web design and Public Relations.
My initial ideas can be seen here. I wanted to know if this kind of logo would work and if it has been done before? I can't recall something like that but I would love if you could show a similar logo. Moreover I'm looking forward to comment about it, and if it would work or not.

Fellow designers, I'm pleased to offer, for your critique, my new business Web site, just launched and in need of a few tweaks. Our very own Stephanie was the designer. The text is mine, as are any blatant mistakes and/or shortcomings. I asked Stephani work with a palette representing the environment in which I work, which includes a studio distinctive for its teal green walls and silver & black decor, as well as the wider environment of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My goal with this site was to enhance my strengths as a hands-on, even hand-HOLDING, designer who differs from my big-time competition by offering greater flexibility, personal service, and (I think) quality work. I was limited financially here, but within that restrictions (and in spite of other obstacles that she might tell you about if you got her drunk enough, all of which relate to what a pain in the a** I've been to work with), Stephanie brought in a terrific product, I believe, sweet and to the point. We are both interested in hearing your opinions -- not phoney-baloney compliments, although the real kind will certainly be welcome :-) Please be candid about cloudy or missing points, bulls**t text -- I'm already working on reducing the home page content -- any technical glitches, your overall reaction. I'd love to meet Stephanie someday. She's been fabulous to work with, and I mean FABULOUS. So okay, kiddos, have at it. The site is http://www.warrentongraphics.com

Brand Exploration

Brand Exploration

Hi, I am currently working as an in-house designer for a catering company. I want to rebrand their generic restaurant name of Refresh but am fresh out of ideas for it. This is all I have come up with so far... But I would really appreciate any creative input or ideas that any of you kind friendly people have to offer.

Inspirational Material to Unexpected Recipients

Inspirational Material to Unexpected Recipients

'Semblance', A carte blanche project that is meant to encourage the reinvention of old materials and communication tools. It is secretly delivered to people who need a moment of tactile silence and a reminder to slow down and rediscover the meaning of a 'Life in Balance'.

Printed on recycled translucent paper, and blind embossed on the braille writing.

HealthLine Systems, Inc. New Website

HealthLine Systems, Inc. New Website

Creative brief: Improve navigation and design of existing corporate site. Make information easier to find, especially for current paying clients (Help Desks).

HealthLine makes online credentialing software (look it up on wikipedia! ha ha) and is near the top of the industry, right below several big, publicly traded companies. So the industry is tech/software.

I worked on this site off an on, by myself, for about 11 months and it's finally live! View it here live: http://www.healthlinesystems.com

I designed the site using HTML and CSS in the asp.net framework (2.0) and with some C# codebehinds. Yes, I did this all on a PC. Shock Horror! :)

Please let me know what you think. I'm sure some of you are itching to get a crack at my work since I'm so available for critiquing other's stuff. :) I'm looking forward to your perspectives on this.

Sop logo

Sop logo

This logo is for an online magazine in South America. The word Sop is the origin of the word soup in various languages and it means to eat with bread and soak it in a liquid, so it is the most basic way to eat. The O needs to work on its own for animations, etc.

Black & Decker Grasshog

Black & Decker Grasshog

This is the first of three ads for the Black & Decker Grasshog. We decided to target women, because of its light weight and ease of use. Visually I wanted to match the style of old 50s ads... Thanks for feedback!
