What specifically are you interested in??
..they both come in a lovely new packaged box that is quite stylish really.
When you open the said box, there are a number of shiny metal discs called CDs, which when inserted into your silver metal box thingy with buttons on, opens a whole new world to the owner.
Try it - you won't be disappointed.
For further info - try being more specific in your question.

One great technique I like in Illustrator is the " Live Trace" With one press of a button, it makes ANY picture a complete and well executed illustration, great for those tight deadlines. Now anybody can be an illustrator!
The programs latest version also boasts a WIDE selection of clip art. Don't have time to draw? Throw some clip art in there! Need a logo? Clip art! Take that you pesky bezier tool!
As for photoshop, it's real strenghts lie in it filters. Imagine NOT having to go to design school because one simple easy to use program does it all for you! Need clouds? You got clouds. Need a tile texture? Brick texture? Photoshop does it ALL. The powerful Lens Flare tool is by far the programs shining jewel enabling you to put AS MANY lens flares as possible on one single piece! Now every project can be "blinged" out! In a pinch, save adding filters as an action so with one press of a button you can add as many filters as you want forever!

Live Trace is a waste of time 9 times out of 10... I end up redrawing it.
Couldn't agree more.

Lense flare rules! :)
it's so wrong that you didn't mention drop shadows and bevels, the staple of any serious photoshop work.
