I find the grey rectangles distracting and not helping the logo at all, and the font select needs to be revisited.
Also, begin in black and white only. It's easier to work through the issues you're having with this logo design. You could also try bitmapping the cross...make it more computer like...

From The Terminator? Can't quite put my finger on it...maybe Timecop?
I agree the rectangles have to go. The colour isn't right either. Magenta doesn't have the same impact as red. There's a few links posted by Natobasso about designing logos, as well as tons of references and tutorials on the internet. I'd read up on those before even thinking of a concept.
Speaking of concept, this one has been used to DEATH. I just googled pc repair logos on google and two popped up on the first page.

I think of disaster relief/health care when I see a red cross. I would step away from the whole idea unless you can present it in a very unique way.
The gray shapes look like an after thought and are more distracting than anything. The font looks like "outer space" to me, not computer. Computers don't mean futuristic-robot fonts anymore. Take Apple for example.
Maybe a cross can be subtle, like something you see after the computer representation, if that makes sense. Keep trying, but start on paper. You seem to be kind of stumped on the illustrating end. I second the reading up on logo creation bit as well. Good luck!

The red cross is also over-used in logos for PC repair anyway
