Time tracking Software (again)
thornysarus (926 pencils) | Mon, 2006-03-27 20:01Not to beat the proverbial dead horse or anything, and I know this topic has been bantered about here on CB quite a bit. I wouldn't even bring it up, but I do know that there have been a fair amount of recent updates to these types of wares and I'm thinking of looking for something new.
I currently use iBiz and have been relatively pleased with it. I mean, it does what I need it to do, track time, create invoices, etc. but I can't help feeling like there's something better out there.
The thing that drives me nuts about iBiz is the way it handles and keeps track of invoices. It's just not intuitive and some of it just has never made sense to me. Although version 3 of iBiz, which promises to address invoicing issues, will be released "soon," I have a business to run like "now-ish."
This morning, there was an update to TaskTime. which I downloaded and hooyed around with a bit. The thing I don't like about TaskTime is it's invoices aren't customizable.
I've heard both good and bad things about Studiometry but haven't used it and the price ($150 US) is sort of steep and their support forum is cluttered with people bitching (as I suppose most support forums are).
So... What do you use?
What would you say the pros and cons are?
Thanks in advance,
t.

Another options would be Billings from Marketcircle. It has a task timer, an invoice generator and is pretty easy to pick up. In the interest of disclosure, I was involved somewhat in it's development, but it covers my needs so you can download a trial and see if it fits your workflow.
