Google Chrome for Mac is officially out
Ivan | Tue, 2009-12-08 17:52Finally Google Chrome for Mac is out, but be careful it's only for for OS X 10.5+, so if you're still running 10.4, you're out of luck.
After downloading you can import your FF or Safari bookmarks by clicking the wrench icon in the top right corner.
Unfortunately the Google Chrome extensions also launched today are not working on the Mac version yet, but they are promised to be released soon for us too.
For me it's really fast and if the good experience holds up it can easily become my primary browser. What is your experience?

Seems pretty fast to me too - even with my pants connection. Is there an easy way to create themes? I wouldn't mind giving that a whirl.
I hate the tabs on top. I don´t like the themes. They are as horrible as in gmail . We´ll see the extensions but in that I don´t think it will be a better copy of Firefox. It looks slightly faster though.
Missing way too many features to judge it at this stage. It is definitely the fastest browser I've used to date, but without bookmark management at the very least, it's hard for me to even give it a fair shake.
With the folks who make 1Password more or less stating that they won't update the app to work with 1Password until it's final release, that pretty much means I'll not likely use it even for playing around with for quite a while.

Something's wrong with the colors. Everything is darker than Safari and Firefox, even profiled SRGB pictures look wrong.
Ergo: trashed it.
Gaggle CHroMe?
You people are getting sooooo desperate it's pitiful!

Why do we need another browser in the first place?. I would'nt trust Google with my imported bookmarks, nor with the sites i visit.. Before you know it they might end up in the Big Brother database, bringing me more behavioural targetted spam.
im still running 10.4 =(
I have it on my pc. I enjoy it.
5.0.342.7 beta is out and it provides many much needed tweaks that make the browser much more stable and easier to use. Good job!
