Solo: Project Management for Freelance Designers
Ivan | Sat, 2011-02-12 21:15Check out Solo, the new project management web app created for freelance designers. It's free for 10 days and then it costs 5 pounds per month.
The app's main advantage: it is beautiful. This is a welcome change from most of the solutions out there that look like accounting software. Solo promises to be fun to work with.
Not all features are live, one of them is a client gateway, which sounds really exciting.
Check out the screenshoots and let us know how you liked it if you give it a try.

I've been looking for something like this for ages, and this looks almost perfect!
I'm currently using software which is installed on my Mac and is backed up routinely. I almost instantly signed up for this but two things stopped me, hopefully you'll convince me to change my mind.
One; how often is this backed up and if I decide to move on to another system, can I export my records easily?
Two; being based online, this could disappear tomorrow, along with my records. You could decide that you don't want to offer the service any more and simply stop supporting it - this does happen.
Third; okay, I said two things but there's a third. How secure is it and who else has access to my data?
I don't want to appear negative but, like I said, this looks great and I do want to switch over to it. I do need a little convincing though on the above worries.

Oh, and can I import my data too?
Good work though - looks beautiful!

This looks really interesting. I'm going to bookmark this and have a look at it later over a coffee. Thanks for sharing :)
that's stunning to look at! I am going to sign up for the trail and see how user friendly it is.
