TTENT Logo designs

TTENT Logo designs

Hi everyone. I'd like some feedback on some logo designs I am doing. Here's the brief: "The Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Company (TT Ent) is a statutory agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which is responsible for facilitating the development of a globally competitive entertainment industry. The objectives of TT Ent are as follows:

* To facilitate international exposure of our local entertainers;
* To market and promote the national creativity;
* To ensure that Trinidad and Tobago is identified not only as the home of steel pan but also as the home of Soca, chutney and calypso;
* To influence positive perception of Trinidad and Tobago’s arts and culture abroad;
* To assist local entertainers and artistes in accessing funding for projects geared towards the export market; and
* To facilitate private sector investment both locally and abroad into the entertainment industry."

Sorry, its a crappy brief but basically most of my ideas stem around using the idea of a shell (nautilus) as a sound device. Other ideas include the ipod music bar, and the star idea is to show that the organisation is a prop for the 'star' or artist. Any more suggestions?

Thanks

is that they don't wrk well at small sizes and won't translate well to letterhead or business cards.

Out of all of them the best concepts in my opinion are the two on the top right, but even they have a big issue with the positioning of the type and readability.

. . . I'll tweak it a bit to make the font more readable at small sizes. I'm still NOT actually SURE what they are calling themselves, so this is hurting me a bit. I am thinking of just saying TTENT but that sounds SO retarded, BUT spelling out the name makes it long and cumbersome. . .hmmmm

Stars, play buttons, RGB projection are all good subjects for this logo, but you really need to simplify and make your logo more elegant.

I'm going to try a few more options. I needed to get some feedback on it and I am glad that I have a few things that I didn't consider to look at. Deadlines's tomorrow so I think I have a few that I can send. The client isn't that 'sophisticated' so I am not that worried about it being really elegant. But I will try a few more.

None of them do much to speak about what the client has asked for. To me, they all look like radio station logos - except for the two bottom left ones which don't really speak to me at all.

I don't know who wrote the creative brief for you, but you should smack the shit out of them because it's about as bad a brief as I've ever seen. It gives you very little to work off of. And what it does tell you could have probably been guessed with a 20 second phone call. Sorry you've been hung out to dry on this one.

In any case, I think you should try adding a little "culture" to the design. A little more elegance, a little more flow, a little more color.

"To facilitate international exposure of our local entertainers"...
im sorry to say this but " T T Ent " is read as "titi ent" and in the Philippines, "titi" means "penis". It would probably entertain a lot in the Phil but not in a very nice way.

and maybe you can add a little more space between the second 'T' and 'E' coz it can be read as " T - Tent "

This was the response I got from my 'Client': Should have known it was a 'pitch' :P

"We thank you for applying to the Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Company Ltd Logo Competition. The response we received from the public was indeed overwhelming with over 150 entries being submitted. At the recent Trinidad and Tobago Trade Investment Convention the top fourteen logos were on display and the public was asked to help choose a winner.

The committee will make the final selection from the short list created at the TIC at the next meeting scheduled for June 8 th. The winner will be announced shortly thereafter.

Regards,
Trinidad and Tobago Entertainment Co. Ltd"
