Spelling things wrong on purpose is totally badass. It says "Grammar isn't important to me because I'm really good at punching". That's the kind of message you want your logo to send. This logo gets an "A" for sweet gradients and bevel & emboss effects which are cutting edge here in the futuristic world of 2011.
I didnt make the name up, that's what the gym is called.
I can see it as a fight logo truthfully, it has that oriental influence going on with its shape relating to calligraphy. As far as it being representational of MMA (assuming that's what this is for), I'm unsure. I'd have to know what he studied.
As far as the type inside your symbol, I'd remove it if given the chance. The typeface is that cheesy fight-type and I definitely wouldn't have it interacting that intimately with the mark.
The guy is a mixed martial artist in the UFC yeah, it will be printed on his shorts and what not. He was very happy, the logo before it was DREADFUL
I like the mark. I also think removing the name from inside the logo would help. My only gripe with the logo is that I thought the initals were "TN". I didn't see the "TG" until I read the name of the logo.
Also, I think you should change the font of the name since to me it's hard to read. The letter "K" in "Genetics" looks like an "H" to me.

the red mark itself is decent enough. but the type inside is absolutely DREADFUL.
i see the k as an h as well. which i first read as genethis. which made me think it had something to do with mike tyson.
Lisp joke for the win.
Ever wonder why the spelling of lisp is that which someone who suffers from it would never be able to say right? How cruel.
Does Mike Tyson have a lisp? I thought of Chris Eubank - you may or may not know him, but he's the boxer with a lisp over here.

I think he has a bit of one, not major but it's there (so I feel).
+1 on the others - Nice mark, the text not so much.
I like not!
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
Intriguingly, if we digitally age your avatar about 10 years, you turn right into qwertyale.
HAHAH! Fantastic! Must be the Jewish side from my Grandmother.
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
I read Twisted Genitals.
Ouch.
Doesn't need to have the name typed out inside of it. Looks amateurish. Who's the fighter?

Check out what I've been up to lately!

I'm going to print it out and eat it.

OK without text
I think the "T" could be a little bit bolder
yes I'm brazilian xD
I still rather like just the TG, but without the tiny type across the top. In addition to its being too tiny, what bothers me -- and it only hit me a moment ago -- is that it isn't twisted. I mean "Twisted Genetiks" neatly typed out on a straight line? No.
You might try making the TG mark out of the words Twisted Genetiks. Might have to look like Viking runes, but we're talking the fight business, right?

I have to agree with the others. The mark is great, and as a UFC fan myself, I definitely see this as a mark that fits with the industry. Unfortunately like the other I would remove the text in the mark. If it was needed I would definitely place it outside and below the mark.
Great work all around!
I like the combo of the red letters, interesting mark. I would take out the name and make it bigger some where outside the mark. You can't read it if it is shrunk down. Try using a different font for the name of the company, but keep the mark. Not too far off! :)
