Typography Collage? Poster?

Hey guys/girls, I had a little bit of extra time tonight and this is what became of it. Purely a collage of a lower case Didot Bold 'y'. Maybe I was thinking about Pirates of the Caribbean that I watched earlier, not really sure. Opinions? Throw it out? Keep it? I kind of like it...but what do you think? It was kind of random so either way it's all good.

As a decorative poster it looks good. It's one of those images that you put on the wall and stare at it and find something new every time. It's balanced and interesting. You've got great talent for proportions.
Cool thanks man, it's Tabloid size so maybe I'll do just that.

Graphic design isn't always about clients hassling you for some crappy business card with a picture of David Hasselhoff on it. It can actually be used for fine art (gasp).
It looks great. My only suggestion would be to put a small patch of black on the very bottom left. Maybe just a singel black "y". That would create a lot more visual movement, because right now my eye just stays at the big black "X," which is usually a bad thing, and it would also help add some weight to the piece because it is very top heavy at the current moment.

Yup, that makes sense....maybe I'll move the title or put a little group of y's down there in black like you said. Thanks, sometimes I do random stuff like this with no real intent and I like to see what others think because as 'art' it's hard for me to critique myself.
