My college will launch a tv broadcasting project and they already have a name, but not a logo. I was requested to work on something, and this is my first attempt. This need to be ready in two days, I would like to hear your opinion. About the colors, well, I'm not allowed to use other aside green, blue, black and white.

I like the one on the left better

Well if you can only use those colors, you made a good choice to only make it a two color job (black and green) rather than use all three. It would probably look good in a blue as well, I think you should try that. I'm not sure which would be more appropriate for the project.

Loose the dot over the U, it's so out of place. And I'm also not sure about the "feed" graphic on top of the C... I dunno, maybe you could integrate it in another way... but I do like the typography.

I'm trying to give the idea

I'm trying to give the idea of transmision with that graphic, but realy I can find a good place to integrate it, right now I'm attaching several versions of the logo so far.

xbox 360

be careful the circular ones look very similar to the xbox 360 logo. #5's symbol looks like engadgets logo www.engadget.com

I think you got the right idea in #3, but lose the vertical transmission lines. and make more pulsating lines (left to right) like the U is the antenna and i think youll be alot closer.

a few comments

The "U" letterform has an odd kink where the bowl meets the stroke.

Do the dots mean anything? 3 dots? lose them if it's just decorative.

The 'transmission' graphic says wireless network, Apple airport maybe ;) I'd avoid that one.

The radial versions you've presented seem too complex and fragmented. If the radial is an image that you think represents the content, why not simply enclose it within a letterform rather than paste it on top...as an example, if you were to re-shape the letterforms to hold the color graphic within the center "C" it would give it symmetry and balance. That kind of study of integrating forms seems like it would be worthwhile.

Nice work

I think it needs to be much simpler. I really like what you've done with the logotype. Maybe just refine that and lose the circles. Make sure it looks good in the corner of the screen on tv. I would not use blue, but only black and green.

Ok, thanks for your

Ok, thanks for your comments. It needs more simplicity, I know, but the green circles was a "must" beacuse it was requested a relationship with the University original logo, wich is recently attached to this post. They are very inflexible people in that way, I've done previous works for them and I know how picky they are.

The little dots gives the idea of connection to the concept. BTW, the producers already picked one, the number 7. I just need to tweak a little bit the U according to GaryW comments :), thanks again.

they made a good choice

I agree with them that #7 is the strongest. May I suggest that on that version you tweak the area where left stroke of the 'U' hits at the green circle to avoid the tangent? (unless of course if you meant it that way!) Good job, specially with a happy client.
