I am still working on the distressing of the background, but i have made a number of changes based on feedback from everyone.

you stressed people xD

you need less details like that white&blue line... create pure elements
put it solid black bands, more two or three solid black or soft yellow bands around the layout to create depths only with elements one in front of others (like layers)

small tweaks won't fix this. The content is too much and obama needs a stronger role.

i agree that the obama image needs to be like 400% larger for this design to work.
