Vacation in Prague

I'm sure you'll have great time there :)

perfect choice if you've never been to europe before.
beer is cheap. and very good.
get as much brands as you can.

prices are generally pretty low.
but do pay attention where you exchange money.
i reccomend exchanging once a good amount of money and not
constantly looking for atms. in europe currency rocks more than credit cards.

usually bars and restaurants have the prices shown at the entrance.
so is pretty easy to spot the "money holes".
generally a beer should be in between 20 and 40 cz crowns for 400ml.
everything over 40 and your drinking in the wrong place.

you can grab a bite in almost every pub or bar.
whenever you see a beer logo somewhere, enter.
you can have a pint and something to eat. and thats neat.
forget about eating fast food. try something weird in a strange pub.
you'll be surprised how nice they cook.

it is a city best enjoyed by foot.
do not take any tour. you dont need it.
just grab a pocket map from a bar or a kiosk and hit the streets with
your camera.

WARNING
not enough batteries and not enough storage space on your memory cards.
you need a laptop in the evening that can hold the huge amount of photos
you will take during the day. there are amazing details everywhere and beautiful panoramas.

transportation is very good and reliable. there are night buses and all.
just check their schedule at the bus stops.
the only weird thing is with the ticket system.
the tickets are based on time rather than on a certain bus number.
but there are exceptions. get help locally.

cabs are slightly expensive. but its not like you cant afford one if
its 3 am, you had 12 beers and 2 blonde chicks are hanging from your neck.

hmmm, what else.
night life rocks. so do loose a night in a club.

do wander freely around. find odd little streets, corners and pubs.
thats a lot of fun.

english wont be a problem in most places.
but do learn a few local words, the language is sweet.
from all those "russian" based languages its the sweetest.

visit at least 6 pubs in a day
