Vector file of the new Ontario logo

Just wondering if anyone has a vector image of the new Ontario logo in their possession--the "three men in the hot tub" one. I've had the client request it from the government, googled my query, plus visited logo web sites, all to no avail.

Thanks!

Tried again with a different file with better results. You were right. It is magic...

I went to the site and vectorized the gif file. Very impressive program. I've bookmarked it for future use.

The logo didn't come out 100% clear, but if I need to redraw it I'm now almost all the way there. Thanks for the link!

By the way, the gods must have heard me laughing at this logo...now I'm stuck working with it!

Thanks. Good site as well, but they too only have the old Ontario logo loaded. I don't understand why this branch of the government is giving my client such a runaround when it comes to sending out the new vector files. All government bodies--of which this project is part of--will have to have the new logo in place later this year anyway. It's probably a timing thing with McGuinty's party, but the client is going to be spending a lot of money on design and production and needs to have their materials in place by March. I'm against using a logo that will later be outdated. It's a waste of money and time for the client.

However, this is typical government. And they wonder why we're constantly operating in a deficit...

The more people you ad the worse things get. :\

Any idea who designed the logo originally? An agency? Maybe you could go to them directly?

Bensimon-Byrne out of Toronto. The client already tried that route and was told to use the old one. Guess I'll be redrawing the logo. Should bill the Ontario government, rather than my poor client.

I'd try contacting them myself. I was supposed to draw a really really intricate logo for a huge company that you all know. Client kept saying it wasn't available. Went on their website, tracked down their designers, got it the same day. Saved myself multiple hours.

You should bill the client for his/her lack of faith that the logo was available, and for your ingenuity. :)

Thanks, Pokie. Every route has been tried, but this agency's not budging. It's all quite weird, especially since the people I'm designing for fall under the government's jurisdiction.???????

If I was a delusional maniac, I'd guess that they were probably hashing out some plan to "share the logo bill" before releasing it. Our provincial government doled out nearly a quarter of a million dollars for it last year, a HUGE stretch from what the designer of the original logo was paid back in the '60's --$5000. Even with inflation...

I know this is an old thread but this is where I went first when searching for the logo online. And, in the end, this is what I found:

Good link. And the more I look at this logo the more I like it. A type of arm-in-arm comrades.

However, I'm just wondering if you know the colour laws governing this new logo? Black and white only? I've never tried colour with the Ontario logo, but this new, modern one lends itself to so many possibilities...

Think I answered my own colour query. If it's like the old one then black and white only.
