Victor Voyage Take 2
Gregory (24 points) | Mon, 2005-06-20 00:38I worked with a friend and he came up with this idea that I then re-created in illustrator. (top)

This (bottom) is the logo that will be used for the product due to bureaucracy.
(The marketing team took the a low resolution version of the little cloud I made in a previous draft and used it as their own)
What are your thought on the logos individually and in contrast with each other?
note: the logo is for a company (university competition) to sell soft pillows.

Looking at this logo, I would not have thought pillow company, and definitely not a quality pillow company. The logo, to be honest seems very tacky and may work as a youth / children's brand. I would have to say back to the drawing board. This does nothing for me.

Both of the logos are poor in quality. There is way too much going on in both of them. The first font is too rough, and the second font is just plain cheezy. Work on an simple logo that projects what you need to project.

The top one is very nice, just needs to be a little more "fluffy" and it would bring out the pillow thing a bit more. I really like the colors in it.
The bottom one uses that one annoying display font (jokerman?) and looks like something a kid did. The big V is also too boxy because of the effects on it.
The top one is definitely better, obviously. It looks a lot more professional. Why do they have apostrophes in different places?! One has it on the A, one has it on the E.
The top one has some nice colors and shapes, but needs more work. I don't understand the graphic below. You can drop it maybe. Also the logotype is a bit too funky together with the V's. Give it another try! Good luck!
Im guessing someone has a crush on fantasy-fonts and i'm guessing this took about 10 minutes to make.. :)
I think the logo lacks focus and balance.
What are the big V's signifying? They have a "window" in the top left, are they buildings? What is their significance?
You need to focus on the key words: softness, lightness, night, sleep.
And nothing to do with you, but Victor Voyage doesn't make me think pillows. Makes me think about going on a cruise with some winning athletes or something.
