Video uploading technologies

I am about to start a new project that will be centered around user generated video content.

As is usual in our world, the budget is low and deadline tight. So what I need is a method for building the video upload technology. I am not against using something similar to YouTube but need a service that will allow me to embed the upload process in my site rather than the user having to login somewhere else then come back once there video has been picked up via feeds (my present solution via a specific tag).

My early research has found that one method is to use Drupal with CCK and FlashVideo Module, this may work well but would be interested to know if their are any alternatives in the Joomla or Mambo space.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
