Viral Media Logo
mokenke (315 points) | Tue, 2007-04-24 19:33This logo was created for Viral Media Productions, a company that develops electronic marketing software and provides "viral" marketing services. This company will mostly operate online although print will certainly happen. I am considering eliminating the symbol but I need to be confident that the name looks good on its own. Type is custom. This is kind of the finalist of the first batch of concepts.

a few comments about the lettering:
The "VI" and "IA" ligatures are clever and have a good balance.
The "M" seems too wide, overly extended, that is emphasized by the open word spacing. Perhaps tightening the wordspacing will help, maybe condensing the "M" a bit.
The "R" needs something tweaked, I'm not sure, maybe the bowl needs to be rounded like the "E" or "D", and the small gap on the horizontal bar needs to be opened up...

Typeface is cool. The logo type reminds me of spreading viruses under a microscope. Good work.
VERY nicely done.. as said the M is a little odd, but once that's fixed i think you have it done..
Gary mentions the connection between the VI and the IA, maybe flip the dot on the VI so that in the end it makes one on top and one on the bottom, just like in the logo. it would make it look like they're coming together and attaching in the logo, or being seperated under a microscope like Ivan mentions.
the color is nicely done, though blue doesn't feel viral to me. would love to see other options. orange? marroon/redish?
all in all, really nicely done.
