Alice Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll
at the Edinburgh Fringe 2006, Pleasance Dome

Inside Out Theatre Company seeks a graphics designer to create a backdrop of a variety of spaces that Alice visits on her journey through Beyond the Looking-Glass, from the garden of animate flowers to the the wood of Namelessness. This is an opportunity to collaborate on an artistically ambitious project where the designer will play a pivotal role in contributing to the implementation of our vision.

Our inspiration comes from the hyper-real, high-resolution graphics that are making their appearance presently everywhere. With a crispness of line, clarity of colour and glossiness of surface that is too good to be true the images will show the audience what reality looks like when it has been pushed up to and beyond its limits. By blurring the boundary between reality and fantasy, we aim to explore the possibilities for creating illusions through graphic projection, offering a chance for a talented designer to explore the limits of what a graphic image can do.
