Warning:AdobeStock Photos
normmcd (11 pencils) | Thu, 2006-01-19 23:00Just wanted to post a warning to everyone. I used Adobe Stock Photos through the Adobe Bridge Program. I downloaded a comp image and got my design approved and went back to purchase the image. Like most Stock sites I had a number of sizes and prices to choose from. The smallest size was listed at 600KB. Next size was 14MB. Knowing the project I was working on a 600K file seemed plenty big. I paid my $89.95 and hit download and got a 68KB file.
The 600KB listed is not the actual file size, but rather the uncompressed working size in PhotoShop. I'm still on hold with Adobe Customer Service trying to make it right. But wanted to give others the heads up.

FYI: They are refunding my money, It is a problem they are aware of that thought was fixed. They offered to send me the "right" image, but it would take 48 hours. As I am on a deadline I have to just taken the refund and buy the next size up. Anyway be careful out there.
What the use of a 68K image anyway? Web?
Thanks for the heads up. I was on their site today in fact.
