ya ive been through that, i mean i know the basics (html5, css3, a little javascript) but i was looking for more like blog type sites. Something to stay up on current issues and topics.

Take your pick, has other websites aside from blogs listed. I like Speckyboy and Smashing Mag for Web Design news/ tutorials. There's a few others but those are most noteworthy.

Right now I'm doing a lot of WordPress projects, making custom installations and themes for a wide variety of clients. It's become really powerfull in how much you can customize it create sites for specialized services. So I follow mostly WordPress related sites and blogs.

I can come with a lot of other sites if people are interested, just reply. I keep everything in my Google Reader.
For more basic stuff I'd recommend some of the course on Lynda.com. They aren't free but a fantastic starting point to get you up to speed.
