Get Goin' With These Dreamweaver Tutorials!

Get Goin' With These Dreamweaver Tutorials!Building and managing websites can seem like a daunting task for the uninitiated. Even if you've been designing sites for a while, managing links, uploading, even working with a design team can still be challenging stuff. Throw in some heavy CSS-driven page layouts, and web design is suddenly down-right freaky!

Deep soothing breath, grasshopper. I have some great resources to help you with these web design issues. First, a 3-part video series called Creatin' CSS Layouts In Dreamweaver, which will demystify CSS-driven page layout. It'll take you from the basics, through to code and layout refinement, right up to building a full-on centered layout. Check it out!

Next, how about managing that site once it's up and running? Things like finding and fixing broken links, file management--that sort of thing? Here's an article called 10 Dreamweaver Site Management Tools. Give it a read here.

So, whether you're just getting into building sites, or if you've been at it a while, I hope these resources will help you out! Enjoy!

I haven't designed for the web since Adobe Pagemill was the be all to end all. Eek! I actually broke down and purchased the layman's Dreamweaver CS3 for Dummies and read it cover to cover.

I have begun designing my own site this year using CSS pages. I believe this is the direction to take, especially if and when I become involved with a client's multiple page website. Why wear out the index finger?

"As quickly as you can...snatch the pebble from my hand."
"When you can take the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave."

Thanks for the info, sensei Zap.

I have been a fan of dreamweaver for a very long time. Until recently when a friend of mine told me to check out a program called textmate. I haven't used my dreamweaver since I first opened textmate. It's good stuff.

If you at least have a basic understanding of code it speeds you up ten-fold.

If your serious about web development, check out the videos.

Also take a look at Rapidweaver. It's a different approach and works as a good cms, in theory. I never really used it much. It's very interesting. Maybe for the not so web savvy...

I don't like bloated software like Dreamweaver. When it comes to html/css design I prefer to hand code.
