website for a photographer

website for a photographer

Hi all!

I'm new to this forum. Just wanted to get some feedback from the design gurus here ;-)

This is the starting point for a website displaying the work of a photographer.
Its supposed to be easy navigation.

The green squares will transform to thumbnails after pushing portfolio.

The image in the in the background will change every time you reload the page.

I think it's a great start, it's got a very fresh feel to it.

I might right justify the links on the left.

There is something bothersome about all the gradient squares, though i'm not sure what it is. I think people are going to be clicking them before the portfolio thumbnails are loaded.

Beautiful image.

Looks like a good starting point but all those green gradients give it a very cheesy look, I'd definitely lose those or try something else...
The girl looks great though :-)

Peace,
e-man.

Thanks for the comments. I was in doubt about the gradient squares and you guys acknowledged what I was afraid of. The chessy look 8-)

So I'll try to think of something else and get back with the new version.

The girl comes in different models ;-)

And once again thank you guys for the feedback.

Maybe just have the thumbnails show up once they click on portfolio.
Also as a side note I think that http://www.jimerickson.com is the best photography site ive seen in a while.
