I like it. I would like to see the copy halfway between the bottom of the page and the tip of the beak or just a bit lower. It's just too crowded and it doesn't have to be.
And I don't like "Wild About Wildlife" with initial caps. But that's a personal thought.
Nice.

If i would lower the type, the symbiotic relationship between type and image would be lost. the space is left to invoke the imagination.
Did you run out of image? I wouid like to see more of this creatures face... An eye would be nice. The gradient/fade right isn't working for me.
Also, as far as the type is concerned, there is a lot of tension between the 'd' and the beak. If you move the type left to fit the beak in the crook of the 'd' and 'About' it MIGHT work a bit better. Everything would need to come down about 90% in size so you don't blow your margins....
Good start though. I like the fade on the type. Adds a bit of intrigue.
Nice color too.
Not sure why but this reminds me of a disney theme park/movie poster. I love the result but I agree with ShawnAllan that something isn't quite right with the 'd' abd the alignment to the beak.
I can picture this effect and style working better in a series with different animals on each rather than just the toucan variety. I do like the piece over all.
So George is still having you do that, huh?
