Can't tell, but it looks great! Have you tried fonts.com's search feature? Helps you find fonts in a visual way.

It's not critical that I know right away. Would be great to have in the logo fonts arsenal!

probably one of the best freeby online tools i've used time and time again...
i tried to link your image into it, but it's going nuts, strip off the blue outline and then try it. best of luck

Most sports logos use 'custom' created letters.

If you ask on the logo forums over at Chris Creamer's Sportslogos you may find someone who knows the designer.

Looks custom illustrated to me. Not everything has it's own font set. :)

I recognize parts of the font, tho, and you're right, there's a lot of editing going on. Notice the different B's for starters...
