Been using Pen tool and Ps own extract tool but need something better faster and such, anyone have good recommendations ?

Personally I dig the fireworks method of masking...and when I have to mask something super quick, thats how I do it, using the pen tool of course. It doesn't have quite the same features, but I find myself slightly faster when I have to do something quick and dirty.
