Overall id say nice job. Hope they match the rest of the site to the logo though : )
My only comment from the nazi in me says the hard shadow makes me alittle uncomfortable. Maybe make it a littge bigger+softer.
I don't really like the feel of it. It feels old an dusty. You want to convey artistic and high-tech. This is a good sketch for the logo. Perhaps work more on it and redraw it in vectors, make it shiny and pretty. Also, the font feels too heavy and dark. Try using the blue there as well.
the books feels kind of old school clipartish to me. and your perspective on PS is off with respect to the book. look at the left side of the P relative to the spine.
if you're going to stick with that roughened edge on the book, the typeface for Ps shouldn't be so clean. you probably should roughen the edges up just a little bit to match. right now it just looks plopped on the book and out of place.
I think that maybe a good idea but not well done... it doesn't have any connection with photoshop... just a logo. About the logo... it's just pasted there, but nothing have to do with the perspective of the book. Try to make it more clear and use another type.
Dalu :)
If it's a tutorial site then the book is irrelevant I'd rather use an outline of a acreen and mix the letter (i) with the mouse pointer.
Not feeling it on any level - sorry. Also see a logo that's going to be hard to work with in different mediums. Rethink it using kari's advice as the starting point.
Jmho.
