I like the idea of this. Even though it uses smiles, which is a bit of a dentistry cliche, it does it in quite a fresh, fun way.
There are a couple of things that aren't quite working. The typeface you've chosen for 'dentistry' doens't really carry the right connotations. It feels a little hurried (in style rather than execution) which is the opposite of what you want from a dentist, and it doesn't integrate well with the rest of the logo.
The second thing you need to look at is the balance of the word/image Pico (I take it that's what it says?). At present it doesn't feel balanced or off-balance enough to feel purposeful - I'd suggest making it a little less balanced and contrasting that with the nice, even smiles and a good strong typeface for 'dentistry'.
It's one of those outlandish ideas. But I'm not sure about the green colour...Why green when you can use light blue that often goes with a clinic or other light colours?
I hate to say this but unless this logo is focusing on children i think you should start over. When you got to a dentist you're looking for somebody very professional, less fun. The smileys is a good concept but it should be combined with an almost clinical and pro look. Just my opinion. Take what you think is right for you.
agree with ivan totally, not working as you intended. If you wanna look for inspiration. Look at bartodell's gallery in logopond, he has done many out of the ordinary dentistry logos that are fun and work perfectly.

I can barely read it. It looks like "smiley face band-aids smiley face dentistry" to me.
does anyone else get the peter gabriel song "biko" stuck in their head when looking at this logo?
