Mostly in the morning when I'm rested, but sometimes I have a rush of ideas just before falling to sleep. I have to write those ideas down, so I have a pencil and a notebook next to my bed.
Hehe, yeah, sometimes I've even gotten out of bed and woken up my Mac to work on something.
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and have an idea :-). I guess mostly anytime, though at night I'm pretty tired sometimes (usually wake up at 4-5 AM and go to sleep at around midnight).
All day..but sadly not all the time. Ideas come in when i'm in the toilet. Mostly during showers.
I work best and most creatively when the sun is down. Some of my best work has been done in a daze at 3 in the morning. Maybe if I move to Japan or Australia I'd be able to work at normal hours.
I also work best when it is late.
I guess it is because there are no distractions, and I seem to focus a lot better.
My best ideas seem to come when I am away from the rigmarol of designing and thinking about the technicalities of design. More specifically when I am in the shower, on the treadmill, fishing and before bedtime to name a couple.
Just checked out the results.
It seems we are less creative while at work!!!!
Weird but true!
usually very early in the morning i got my head clear and im very focused.
the workflow seems to come on its own and i end up the job faster.
but i hate very much waking up early.
nights are peacefully and quiet. less stupidity is circulating the waves. but then again when u're tired its hard to see the big picture.
the worst, un-creative part for me is between 2pm and 5pm... i usually get stuck on details then. so it is better for me to do a technical, executional job rather then nurturing an idea from zero.
so, ideas come all the time, but i find it easier to pursue them early in the morning or early in the night.
