PIMPTRIX (264 pencils) | Fri, 2005-09-09 22:38... they approve photochops that make athletes look handicapped.
So I was on CBS Marketwatch when I saw this add on the left hand side. Made me wonder what the designer and the art director were thinking. Is it only me who can see this ridiculous crop job? Is this guy an athlete or did he just come out of the operation room with missing parts on one side of his body? I looked on their website and there's the same image with the athlete wearing blue instead of red. So the designer was able to change the shirt color but couldn't fix the crop job?
What bothers me the most is that designers working for big add. firms like this one make twice of what I make but have the eyes of an old blind lady.
Here is their website. Looks like they created somewhat of an add campaing with his handicap cropped athlete:

Very true, cropping without caution produces disastrous results...
If they're trying to give beer a healthy lifestyle makeover, they're certainly doing a pisspoor job of it, that's all I have to say.
You mean the right shoulder is missing? Could it not be the perpective? Looks strange for sure.
That website background of 1px horizontal scanlines is not healthy. Makes me screen flicker. Avoid doing that guys!
This is ridiculous, indeed.
What bugs me is that it's clear that the designer put effort in cutting the pic in this way.
