Where do you prefer to read long text?

It depends, but in most cases printed book. Wikipedia however has a really nice layout to read long text for internet.

And I don't have an iPad or Kindle, can't speak of experience.

I have probs reading long text in a screen, so I choose printed book

A printed book is so much easier on the eye than the iPad.

Unless of course you are in the dark, then the iPad is amazing with the brightness settings turned down.

Haven't got an e-ink device so can't comment.

it's kind of hard for people to judge these against each other when the majority of people have only used two and hardly anyone has used all four.

it also, to some extent, depends on the content, the viewing conditions, etc.
